Buying gift cards at a huge discount is one of my favorite weapons in my savings arsenal.  Raise.com offers tons of gift cards for virtually every store you could want to make a purchase from, already at a discount.  You also can sell those gift cards you receive for stores you may not wish to shop at.  Get an automatic $5.00 off your first gift card purchase by using this code   upon sign up, or typing in LHOFFSTOT1 !  Choose your gift card and add to your cart.  Enter promo code BUS10 and get an ADDITIONAL $10 off!  This means you can buy awesome gift cards already marked down, for even $15 less!!  Get a huge discount before even pulling your coupons out!!  I purchased a card just now using the code, and it works.  I was able to buy a card for $23, so I am not sure what the minimum is.  It would not work on a $9.60 card.  Some of the stores are Starbucks, Sephora, Kohl’s, Macy’s, Walmart, Lowe’s, Home Depot, Bed Bath and Beyond, QT, and tons more!  Grab a Starbucks card and save on all your morning coffees, or grab cards for the perfect Holiday gift!!  You can purchase cards that work either in-store, online, or both, just make sure you check which one you are purchasing when you add it to your cart!

Example:

  • Buy $25 Gift Card to Bed Bath and Beyond, marked down to $24

Use  this code or typing in LHOFFSTOT1 and get $5 off

Use code BUS10 and get $10 off

NEW Huggies, Pull-Ups, & Goodnites CVS Printable Coupon, PRINT NOW

We have a new printable CVS coupon for $2 off $10 Purchase of Huggies, Pull-Ups, or Goodnites diapers and training pants!  PRINT NOW, these typically don’t stay up long!!

Pair these with the $2 off Huggies printable coupon from Swagbucks which we are paid $0.10(10 Swagbucks) to use.  Remember that printing any other manufacturer’s coupons from the CVS site means they will still be deducted from your Swagbucks prints, and you will not receive payment for them.

I had my first major problem at CVS using these a few weeks ago.  A brand new cashier rang me up, scanned my coupons, but had used a substantial beauty reward from the computer screen before all coupons, which meant they were not used despite scanning them.  The only one that did take was a CVS $6 off $30 Diaper Purchase coupon, but because of all the rewards entered first it only took $0.75 off for it.  I had never seen this happen before.  When I tried to explain to the shift supervisor, one I had not met before, she didn’t understand what had happened.   She also didn’t understand that these were CVS coupons, and kept saying they were manufacturer’s and that I could not use two manufacturer’s coupons for the same item.  An easy way to tell is that printable coupons will say “manufacturer’s coupon” at the top, and CVS store coupons will say “CVS” or “CVS  Pharmacy” at the top.  Since my transaction subtotal was $30.57, and I had almost $30 in Extra Care Bucks used for it, I ended up returning the items as politely as I could, apologizing for the confusion, and left without purchasing anything.

When you use coupons,  you will have times when a transaction does not work, even if it should.  In most cases, a polite conversation with the manager can resolve any issues. Carrying a copy of the CVS coupon policy can also help.  BUT, there will be those times where things just do not go well.  If associates or managers are not understanding, not familiar with coupons, or do not quite understand the CVS coupon policy,  it is then best to leave and shop at a later date with someone else.  When I returned and discussed what had happened with another manager, she apologized profusely and offered to give me the same deal.  Arguing will never end well, and sometimes it is just best to return later.  Make sure you get all your coupons back, and have any Extra Care Bucks that were used added back to your card.  They can also issue a manual Extra Care Bucks slip in their place.  This is actually best, as sometimes even when they try to return your Extra Care Bucks, they still show as being used the next time around.

Shea Moisture Baby Eczema Bar Soap only $0.40 at CVS

We have awesome deals on Shea Moisture products at CVS this week.  Get the regular Shea Moisture Bar Soaps TOTALLY FREE, and get the Shea Moisture Baby Eczema Bar Soaps for only $0.40 each!   If you have not tried them, they are really nice!! Their products are Vegan Friendly, Cruety-Free, free of harmful chemicals and additives, certified organic, and are effective while natural, and luxurious!

CVS allows the use of a coupon on a “free” item with “Buy one Get one Free” sales.  If you have any issues, it is written clearly in the CVS coupon policy.  Check your Extra Care Card, most people have received the $3 off $11 CVS coupon soaps, and if you did too, you can get them FREE!  CVS does not pay coupon overage, so it will simply reduce your subtotal to $0.

If you don’t have the paper insert coupon needed, you have time to order from Coupons and Things by DeDe clipping service. It takes 2-3 days max to receive your order from the time it is placed, and costs on average 10% of the coupon’s value. So for a $1 off coupon, you would only pay $0.10. Still a tremendous savings, and a great way to get multiples, or coupons that did not run in your region.

$46.76 of Huggies Pull-Ups & Baby Wipes for $1.16 at CVS

My super awesome CVS trip ended up being even better, thanks to another Jingit Diaper rebate!  Remember that with Jingit, when a minimum value is specified, it is based on the actual RETAIL PRICE of the item, not what you actually pay after sales, coupons, etc.

I had a FANTASTIC trip to CVS yesterday!  I ended up with 20 products with a retail price of $128.56, and only paid $5.06!!   I also ended up with $46.76 of Huggies Pull-Ups diapers and Huggies Baby Wipes, for only $1.16!!  That means I got THREE FREE jumbo packs of Huggies Pull-Ups training pants, and an 85% OFF DISCOUNT on a three pack of Huggies Natural Baby Wipes!!  Last time we had this promotion on Huggies Pull-Ups at CVS, I ended up getting four jumbo packs of Pull-Ups totally free, plus I made about $0.40 as well.  This time wasn’t quite as awesome, but close, and still an absolutely amazing deal.  Especially for diapers or training pants!  Though this particular promotion ended yesterday, the same one comes along every few weeks, so just wanted to show how we can stack the different coupons which are available.

Before anything else, make sure you check your receipt before leaving CVS.  They have made significant new changes to their system, and lately I have had only one receipt that was not missing at least one coupon that was scanned.  I watch closely as the sales associate scans my coupons, and also count how many I am using so I can tell quickly if one or more is missing.  With these new system changes, for some reason when the transaction totals out,  even coupons that show up on the screen can disappear.  The sales associates are aware of it, and thankfully most will correct it. Today I had to go to two CVS stores since one does not carry a product I was looking for, and out of  5 separate transactions, 4 were missing at least two coupons that had absolutely been scanned.  You can always get a Rain Check when items are out of stock, but it has to be on a product they carry.

Check your Extra Care Card regularly, and make sure you send all available coupons to your card.  Coupon policies can vary store to store, even in the same region.  However, for the most part they are the same.  I recommend keeping a printed copy of the CVS coupon policy with you.  The coupon policy as stated on the CVS site applies to every store, and if you have any issues that are spelled out in the policy, you can show the sales associate if something is in question.  I have only had to do this a few times.  Today I only had two of the $2 off $10 Huggies Purchase CVS coupons left, or they would have actually let me use three since I was purchasing over $30 worth of Huggies.  They are no longer available to print, but do not expire until August.  Only one of these coupons would scan through, so it is up to management whether or not they will take more, as the coupon wording does not limit it to only one, just one per $10 in Huggies products.  If in doubt, it never hurts to ask a manager.  I recommend checking the CVS coupon page regularly and printing every single CVS coupon that pops up.  They always are valid for a long time, but do not stay available to print long.  I am still using the candy coupons I printed months ago.  Just remember not to print any of the other manufacturer’s coupons, as they will be deducted from your Swagbucks prints, and you will not receive payment for them like you will from printing directly off Swagbucks.

Here is what I purchased and what I used:

NOTE***If they had had not been sold out of the other Huggies Wipe package that was on sale for $5.99 as well, I would have been able to purchase it using the $1 off Swagbucks Huggies Wipes coupon, which would have deducted an additional $0.50, plus the $0.10 for redeeming it, making the transaction total only $0.50!
