We received our new weekly round of CVS coupons to our Extracare cards, so I ran to CVS for Huggies Pull-Ups yesterday. I ended up leaving with 9 nice products with a retail price of $64.71, for only $8.30!! Make sure you check your Extracare card and send all available coupons to your card before shopping.
I was finally able to use my rain check for the Reese’s Cereal deal we had two weeks ago, as the first time it was back in stock there. When a product is sold out, ask for a rain check, and make sure they include the Extracare Bucks rewards as well as the price if applicable. You can also ask about using other coupons that may expire before it is back in stock. I was not aware we could do this until a manager let me know. It is at the discretion of the manager working at the time.
I reserved the Jingit rebate for Diapers and Wipes on Sunday when they showed again on my list. However, the rebate for wipes won’t work with this deal as the regular price of the wipes is not $5.00, and I only purchased one. If you don’t have it right now, keep checking as you could at any time.
The Gold Emblem Abound Fruit Snacks automatically printed $1.00 Extracare Bucks for each one, though the ad has a limit of 1. I had already purchased one prior, and was not expecting to receive Extracare Bucks for them, but a nice surprise! I am not sure how many exactly they will print for as I only purchased 3 in total.
Don’t forget the “Unwritten 98% Rule” at CVS. When a minimum purchase amount is required for an Extracare Bucks promotions, or for most of the CVS coupons sent to your card, you only have to spend 98% of it for the Extracare Bucks to automatically trigger and print, or for the CVS coupons to activate. So for a $30 minimum on the Huggies promotion, you have to spend at least $29.40 for the Extracare Bucks to trigger. The registers just work this way, and something discovered by people couponing at CVS over the years. Some CVS employees are not aware of it, and the ones that are have typically been taught by couponers.
Hopefully you printed the CVS coupon for Huggies products when I posted about them last week. They are now gone, so no longer available to print, but are still valid. The CVS printable coupons for Huggies products is one that has been coming up regularly, but does not stay available long. Always print as soon as you see them. I have run into a few CVS employees who are not familiar with the printable CVS coupons. If you run into this issue, you can show them that a manufacturer’s coupon will say “Manufacturer’s Coupon” on the top, and the CVS store coupons will say “CVSpharmacy” on the top, and carry a printed copy of the CVS coupon policy. I have only had one issue where a manager kept telling me I couldn’t use two manufacturer’s coupons on an item, and didn’t understand it wasn’t. While that scenario is rare, if it occurs, it may be best to return later when someone else is working. The majority of CVS employees are usually great.
The Huggies Pull-Ups and Huggies Wipes coupon without a logo is now gone, but there is still the same coupon with the Family Dollar logo. It does state “Manufacturer’s Coupon” on the top left though. Remember that a coupon is only store specific if it says “Available ONLY at.” If a coupon simply has a store logo, or says “Available At,” it is still a manufacturer’s coupon that can be used anywhere, and the logo is just advertising that you can find the product there. The new Huggies printable CVS coupons are starting to state a limit of one per customer. The much older ones did not, and did not expire until Fall. Make sure you check as each round can vary. I have now used all mine I printed earlier, but still an awesome deal with just one!
