It is a reminder that while the line on a screen is always perfectly vertical, the wall in front of you is a series of polite suggestions and structural compromises.

The contractor sends the submittal to prove they are buying what was asked for; the designer signs it to confirm it looks right. Neither party is necessarily checking if the 106-inch panel height actually accounts for the fact that the floor-to-ceiling height varies by three-quarters of an inch across the length of the room.
